Seriously getting mad

I've been trying to actually have a long lasting campiagn going for several attempts now and I have always run into the same problem that makes the game unplayable.

I'll do a couple of missions (cargo, bounty, or patrol). Then things get annoying. I'll dock at a station, save, and then when I exit the station there will be 70+ ships all hostile to me outside the station, all in the same squad, all same race, always a race that likes me. They then obliterate me in seconds, I make my way back to the station, get a new ship. Rinse and repeat. This makes the game UNPLAYABLE. They will follow me to the ends of the universe, teleport (literally) to any place in space I escape to, and kill me repeatedly. If I re-load the game the exact same thing happens.

These guys ARE NOT outside the station when I save, but are spawned as I leave.

What is going on? How can I stop it from happening? If I can't prevent it, i'll have to quit.

Are you sure that they are non hostile to you before you start a new game next time make sure that you clear all the files in .vegastrike except for the config file they will be regenerated hopefully escaping from that swarm.And welcome to the forum hope we can work around this for you.

No one is hostile to me when i start a new game. except pirates.
When I start a new game everything is fine.

Do forget the Luddites the only faction that just about every other faction hates and the only safe targets to shoot at early on without getting mobbed by the Uln

Acutally, as I said, I've only gotten swarmed by factions that LIKE me or are neutral.
The Rlaan liked me, but obliterated me in a huge civillian ship swarm

All factions are connected .. When you kill a pirate, uln and forsaken wil object, when you kill an uln or forsaken, uln and forsaken citizens will object , when you kill a citizen, other citizens will object .. and then, everybody hates you ..

Try using F1, citizen-talk

But I'd like to ask a question. What kind of ships can i NOT buy? Iwas hoping to get a battleship sometime or a missle frigate, but i hear people talking about some ships not being buyable. Will I be able to live my dream of crashing a dreadnought into gas mine?

The only capital ship that is buyable by the player currently is the Clydesdale and if you have most likely also seen that all the big ships handle like proverbial bricks in molasses.Of course it is very easy to hack yourself any ship even a couple how to posted about and also how to tweak the units.csv entry for the ship so that it handles like a fighter but the prevailing option is they are just not that much fun to fly.

Are there plans to make other ones purchasable in the future? like being able to buy military capships from factions that have max trust in you?

Can I at least buy a Kahan destroyer?

Depends on what exactly you mean by contribute.
I don't have any art skills or 3d modeling programs

I think no need 3d modelling, is all about coding, writting...etc
Maybe Loki1950 or Ace 123 know that better than i.
but anyway render a ship "buyable" is nothing linked with modelling or art.

I can't code for crap either
I'm better at coming up with interesting ideas
But this game has tons of ships as is, so doubt you need me to think up a few more

i'm not a coder too ,
Like mentioned upper you can "hack" a ship by adding it in your saved game file .

And is true lot of things need still to do...

Oh so anyone can render a ship buyable? Is there any howto or something, or does anybody know?

The file to change is the master_parts_list.csv you add the ship you want to buy and a price look up master_part_list.csv in the wiki or you add the ship to your save game file and a ship.csv file for it in serialized_xml and i am not a coder at least not with any current language Forth any one just know a lot about code in general since i wrote my fist back in the sixties

Soooo, if I would theoretically add a ship to the sale list, if I post it would it be put in SVN or something? Or are devs in charge of VS responsible for it?

SVN commit permissions are by invitation of the dev group and i don't have those privileges either But if you want to share just post the file as an attachment then adventurous types can use it with there local copies of the game.

I see. Just wanted to know cuz I don't code that much (know a little bit), so I won't give it a shot. A time loss, kinda. Thus, I am still working on the Spanish translation, so I will just commit to that . Haven't posted updates on how my translations are going cuz, you know, my Ubuntu's internet is fu***d up. Still, I will try fix it later on.
