i dont know what true about the speed but i believe there wasnt 1 ship in the whole series that could go faster then warp 9,5 so why give it thuse huge nacelles.
but its like the same with spoilers.
small ones are for girls.
those nice normal onces with nice shapes are for cool guys.
and the big ones are for the pimps who think big is better (but actually have a really small penis so have to put the size somewhere else ).
